#SimplyMyTruck
Bilbao Exhibition Center, 11. February to March 25: MAN expected global appeal from the major #SimplyMyTrucks event in the Spanish port city: As part of this B2B mega-event, the truck manufacturer is presenting extensive innovations. Over the entire duration of the event, groups of 200 international press representatives and MAN dealers each were guided through the individual stations every two days. An event of decisive importance for MAN – and with extraordinary challenges in terms of planning, construction time, material scope and, at the end of the day, Spanish corona restrictions for us.
#SimplyBig
We had a set-up time of four weeks to implement the major construction site. Before construction began, we brought more than 5,000 cubic meters of material to Bilbao. In the “Welcome Area”, through which all event visitors entered the event area, we expanded the reception area to the size of a quarter soccer field. For the “reveal show” we converted exhibition hall 6 of the BEC with 15,000 m². Here the new MAN trucks were exhibited on a catwalk with a tremendous impact. We were able to score points with 360 ° expert know-how for the implementation of numerous special features – such as the deck covering suitable for heavy loads, the tunnel under the catwalk or the complex, rotating public platform.
#SimplySpecial
The coronavirus had a not inconsiderable influence on this event. The event itself could still be carried out. Afterwards it was no longer possible for us to dismantle it again. So it came about that the entire setup was in Bilbao for almost six months. After tough negotiations and only after the entry and quarantine restrictions in Spain had been relaxed, we were able to start dismantling at the end of June.
With the dismantling, project management at e.w.enture is slowly picking up speed again. Thanks to our broad portfolio, apart from the typical trade fair and event construction, we are already building our first projects and more are in the planning stage.
