While the Mobile World Congress in the Catalan city of Barcelona was considered an insider tip for eccentric start-ups some time ago, there is no getting around it in the mobile communications industry today. The Vision iNext from BMW also has “the future in its sights”. With this slogan, the Bavarian automobile manufacturer sums up its vision of the connected vehicle of tomorrow. If you will, our e.w.enture team is just coming back from the future: Because we were able to build the exhibition stand to present this BMW future vision in February.
BMW exhibited its “networked vehicle for the future” in a futuristically inspired 464 m² exhibition stand. We created a lot of atmosphere for a fitting staging: To do this, we hung octagonal ceiling grids made of wooden profiles, decorated with long artificial plant tendrils, from the ceiling using wire ropes. Our on-site team worked octagonal metal inlays into the floor, precisely fitting and analogous to the ceiling grid.
The design of the exhibition stand with the highest quality surfaces, furniture and media technology resulted in an overall impressive overall picture. In the center of the stand, we created an 18-meter-long bar made of walnut wood, which we rounded off with a matching walnut-look floor. Matching suspended flower pots and pendant lights also created an atmosphere here. An arena with a large LED wall integrated into the exhibition stand provided space for presentations and lectures. To top it off, the prototype of the BMW Vision iNext was emblazoned on an octagonal high-gloss floor including a glass parapet.
The e.w.enture team wishes you a relaxing Easter holiday.
